Bethell awarded £1.2m Bus Station scheme in Radcliffe

Bethell have been successful in their tender bid to construct a new £1.2m bus station in Radcliffe.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and Bury Council have been working in partnership to develop an enhanced bus station in Radcliffe Town Centre, which aligns with the Radcliffe Town Centre Masterplan and the council’s regeneration aspirations for Radcliffe.

The project will deliver increased levels of comfort and security plus high quality upgrades to the surrounding environment, including a high quality public realm, stepped seating areas, stair and ramp access, and high quality planting.

Councillor Andrew Fender, Chair of the TfGM Committee, said: “The new bus station is good news for Radcliffe and shows our commitment to continually improve the transport infrastructure across Greater Manchester and beyond.

“Once complete, the new bus station will provide a modern, high quality gateway to the town centre for bus passengers, improving public transport links to jobs, education and leisure in the Radcliffe area.”
