Site Waste

This process commences as early as the estimating stage where tenders identify initiatives to achieve reductions in waste being sent to landfill for each new contract and Site Waste Management Plans are an integral part of contracts valued at £300,000 or more.

These plans: 

• Enable accurate monitoring and measurement of the amounts of waste produced on each site
• Describe each waste type expected to be produced in the course of the project
• Estimate the quantity of each different waste type expected to be produced
• Identify the waste management action proposed for each different waste type, including re-using, recycling, recovery and disposal

They enable us to actively reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and, after completion of each contract, to review the plan to:

• Measure its success
• Identify any deviations from the plan
• Estimate of the cost savings that have been achieved by completing and implementing the plan
