Amey, Cumbria Surfacing 2011

Through an open tender process Bethell’s surfacing division was awarded £1.3m worth of sub-contract surfacing works from the incumbent contractor working for Cumbria County Council.  Amey, had 38 individual projects that needed to be completed in the Cumbria region for the authority. The awarded surfacing contract commenced in early July 2011 and were all completed by late September. The schemes ranged in value from £5,000.00 to £250,000.00 and contained many varied surfacing specifications from 32mm & 20mm binders, 10mm/14mm’s to thin surface courses to HRA with chippings with various PSV’s.
