The project commenced on site in February 2008 and entailed the construction of a new CSO chamber on the existing network with the associated installation of a static screen, together with demolition and extension works to an existing CSO chamber. Both work items had to be completed whilst maintaining existing flows on the network.

Close liaison and planning was necessary with UU framework suppliers to ensure key programme dates were achieved without issue. 

Initial outline design issued by UU was developed to an approved construction phase design by Bethell.

All works were completed on site within programme and without issue.
