The Rock

Bethell have been awarded the £5.6m Rock Triangle project in Bury, Lancashire. The contract has a duration of 67 weeks and is split into 4 sections.

Section A: New link road from existing signalised junction at Moorgate/Peel Way including new signalised junction and associated works on Rochdale Road.

Section B: Widened/Reconfigured section of A58 Rochdale Road including signalized junction into proposed car park and new toucan crossing facilities on A58 Rochdale Road.

Section C: Construction of new signalised junction at the existing roundabout junction of Rochdale Road, Lord Street and York Street.

Section D: Local widening of Peel Way at the approach to its junction with Moorgate including necessary alterations required to timings of existing signalised junction of Peel Way /Moorgate/ Walmersley Road/ New Link Road.

The main contract is being managed by Bethell Construction but works are being delivered using the in house capabilities of Bethell Power Services (Multi Utility Installation), Bethell Lighting Services (Street Lighting and signage) and Bethell Surfacing Division (Surfacing works). This contract gives Bethell the opportunity to confirm its position as a market leader with the ability to deliver large scale developments using its different business streams, acting as one “Seamless” organisation.

To date works are progressing well on Section A and Section D has been delivered on time and within budget.
