Windermere Station Refurbishment

The provision of all necessary building, civils, mechanical and electrical works for the refurbishment and updating of the entire station facilities at Windermere Station. During the works, the station building was closed entirely but remained fully operational by the provision of temporary office and waiting accommodation.

The works involved the stripping out of all existing station waiting rooms, toilets, staff mess facilities and ticketing/office areas. The waiting room area was extended and refurbished to include CIS and heating & ventilation equipment. The ticketing area was made more secure and compliant to the DDA legislation.

All finishes were in line with the First Group Standards and in keeping with the Lake District requirements.
