Bethell has a dedicated Multi Utility division to install all the utilities associated with new developments.

Our division uses multi-skilled utility management and installation teams to lay gas, water, electrical, telecommunications apparatus in a single trench. This one-stop shop for all utility services removes from the Client the previous headache of coordinating the various utility providers.

There are considerable financial benefits to the Client in laying all services simultaneously in a single trench, with the additional bonus of only one company to liase with. This provides the site-specific flexibility required in phased developments where connections are required at different times.

The Service we provide is turnkey (from scheme design to making live) and is designed to remove the headache of co-ordinating all the activities including the funding and permissions. Bethell’s own teams carry out the work meaning that control of the project rests in house and there is no need to liase with sub-contractors.

Bethell has significant experience in this market and is a growing force. To date MU companies have not really been interested in providing an MU Service to smaller Developments. However due to volume Bethell is able to offer a full MU Service for small developments as well as to large ones. Clients include Persimmon, Priory, Pringle, Senator and Melrose Homes.

The business has all the required Accreditations to carry out this work including NERs and GERs from Lloyds and where possible relevant permissions from the Undertakers to carry out certain elements of work. In addition to the normal gas, water, electricity and communications uniquely Bethell can supplement the service by providing the street lighting and ground works (including roads, drainage and sewers) through its in house capability in both these areas.
