£0.7m Stockport Retaining Wall- Latest TCAP scheme for Bethell

The latest scheme to commence under Bethell’s strategic Alliance Partnership with Stockport MBC is a £0.7m project allowing the widening of the busy St Mary’s Way and Newbridge lane Junction in the town centre. The structure is over 100m in length and will comprise of a brick- faced contiguous piled retaining wall.

The project is part of Stockport Council’s Town Centre Access Plan (TCAP) which intends to spend £73m on improving access and transport flow around the town centre over the next five years. The Newbridge Lane retaining wall is the second project entrusted to Bethell having successfully completed a £0.7m retaining wall scheme on the A6 at Heaton Lane. Works on site are scheduled to commence in February.
