Family Fun Day raises £10,000 for Children’s Charities

A recent Family Fun day organised to celebrate the Company’s 150 year anniversary, raised an astonishing £10,000 for local children’s charities and the Company decided to split the sum equally between two local children’s hospices, Francis House in Manchester and Derian House in Chorley. The first charity  to benefit was Francis House and the photograph shows a cheque for £5,000 being presented by Bethell Managing Director, Vincent O’Dowd, and Finance Director, Chris Morley (left), to the hospice’s Fundraising Manager, Kate Puc.

Francis House Children’s Hospice provides care for children, teenagers and young adults with a short life expectancy. Based in Didsbury, Greater Manchester, Francis House helps over 370 families from all over the North West, providing specialist care in a homely, happy and secure place.  365 days a year Francis House helps children and young adults with life-limiting conditions to live life to the full and offers much needed support, friendship and encouragement to their families. Over £3.6 million in charitable donations are needed each year to continue to provide services that include respite care, home care, end of life care and bereavement support.

A second £5,000 cheque will soon be presented to Derian House.
