Second cheque for £5,000 handed over to Children’s Hospice

Bethell’s staff and suppliers helped to raise £10,000 from a recent Family Fun day event which was organised to celebrate the Company’s 150 year anniversary. The Company decided to split the sum equally between two local children’s hospices, Francis House in Manchester and Derian House in Chorley.

Derian House has an enviable reputation in setting exceptionally high standards in children’s hospice care. With a catchment area covering the whole of Lancashire and the South Lakes it is currently supporting more than 300 families who have a child or young adult suffering from a life shortening condition, as well as providing bereavement support for a further 200 families. The photo shows a cheque for £5,000 being presented by Bethell Commercial Director, Patrick Donnellan, and HSQE Director, Ian Madden, to the hospice’s fund Fundraising Manager, Sophie Saunders.
